Mission Statement ... "to encourage new people into the life of the Church and equip the Church family in preparation for mission and outreach into the community and beyond."

Prior to the building of their own church, the Methodist community held services in the Aintree British Legion (where B&Q now stands), until the building became dilapidated; when services were held in the homes of any good folk who were willing and able to accommodate. The foundation stone for the church was laid on 25th September 1954 and the day of dedication was 10th December 1955. The Old Roan Methodist Church is not far from your home, on Altway in Aintree Village and we want to offer you an open hand of friendship. You are warmly welcome to join with us on a Sunday or to become involved in any of our organizations. Old Roan Methodist Church is here to help you, pray for you, share with you and welcome you and we are always open to new people who want to become part of a church with a "heart for the community". We are a lively all-age church and would love to share with you and get to know you at OLD ROAN METHODIST CHURCH. Sunday 11.00am Family Worship Sunday School & Crèche Sunday 6.30pm Quieter Evening Worship Holy Communion is celebrated regularly. Baptisms take place regularly within the main Sunday service. Our worship tries to accommodate a broad range of tastes from traditional to more informal & contemporary preferences. Special services e.g. Healing, Iona, Songs of Praise and others are arranged as appropriate. Bible Study Groups also meet regularly. Our Church Prayer Chain will pray for you with any prayer requests. The church offers a confidential counseling service to any in need.
